In my first year of college I had to do a presentation. The topic was broad so I chose to do it on Hillsborough - what happened on the day, the aftermath and the cover-up. Always helps when you're doing work on something you care or feel passionate about.

The relationship of fans with the club its self can give you enough to get through on its own, more though if you cast your mind back to just last year! remember the so called Internet terrorists? or more realistically just what and how far fans will go to save their club from those that want to steal it and kill it.Throw in a bit of shanklys philosophy and thatl show people just how it gets in the blood.

You could examine football clubs becoming a global franchise. That would correlate well with both American take overs, and you could also relate it to the Sky issues and how it's changed competition with Chelsea, Man U, City, and Arsenal.

A lot of the money these days comes from tv rights and shirts, versus individual sponsors and stadium tickets. Might be worth looking into.
