Maybe he should be used more often to start games, especially where sides park the bus. His creativity can unlock defences at times and of he does struggle during those games then take him off and bring on some fresher legs.

Have to say though, I thought Carol and Suarez started to link up reasonably well against Stoke which is a good sign.

Yeah I think our line up needs to be more fluid. We have a lot of talent that is going unused, and a lot of people (like downing and henderson) who have talent but grow stale when overused. Rotaion needs to happen.

mentioned that a few times earlier in the league and last season as well but was getting laughed at for that idea because Max is 'average' according to them. His link up play is always brilliant with Suarez. I think if not him, Bellamy deserves a start over Downing who has done nothing so far in a red shirt.

I think he makes good decisions and plays within himself. He does not over complicate the game. he will help retain possession. I am not sure if can provide a defense splitting pass.

Sure - but I prefer either of them on the flanks (as I do Dirk Kuyt) over Henderson (whose a central midfielder) and Downing (whose been disappointing over the last half-dozen games or so)

You could even play Johnson wide on the right
