These played better for their previous teams because they played in a system Thr they were used to and had been at their previous clubs for some time! Once they play more games together at LFC then I believe we will see them playing better for LFC. This why many of us on here have been askin for patience!!

one more reason for the players different form, i think is because they are more analyzed and profiled by the opposition, and tendencies and weakness taken advantage of.

Yeah but does that not apply to all teams eastman? Liverpool will be doing the same. I think it might be more to do with the pressures of the expectations at LFC and yes maybe something is going wrong with our coaching / tactics.

Talked to a mate today, who isn't a Liverpool supporter, and he said that he's been really impressed by Adam. Which made me wonder if supporters are just being over anylitical. I thought Adam has actually done pretty well, and has been more involved in games more than Raul was, he doesn't disappear like Raul did. I think he's a bargain for the price.

So have I, I think he has been good but not great yet. As I mentioned in another thread, if he gets his blackpool form back especially alongside Stevie, its going to be a good midfield for us.

I think he will improve too. He's got a history of improving, so I expect him to do so. He started making some decent runs to, which shows that he's getting comfortable.

Pretty strange how our cheapest recruites have been the more impressive really.

One of the key areas we looked at during our recruitment was players fitness records as well as ability. For me all the signings except probably Carroll have been fit and raring to go since they arrived, this is as important as ability in my view.
All have improved since they arrive albeit at different rates, with Enrique and Suarez being the standouts. Henderson has finally showed glimses of what he can do although generally he hasn't pleased nor offended and very much falls into the neat and tidy catergory(will need more to succeed). Only Carroll has disapointed me tbh, Geordie friends described him as unplayable, pacy and mobile - even now they have more faith in him they we do.Maybe aptience is the key

New players will need time to get adapted to their new lifestyle and expectations. When previously playing for their former clubs , they know that they have fellow teammates who trusted the player's kind of play. In their new club they need to get the trust all over again. They also need to adapt to the different style of play compared to their previous team. I can see some of the new recruits now showing a liitle glimpse of what they can do or had done for their previous clubs.

Adam - Getting more influential and more making more great plays with the comeback of Steven Gerrard into the side. Gets the trust from Lucas to get forward more when he knows that Lucas will be covering him defensively.

Henderson - Had a few decent games when played in his preferred central position. Hope that King Kenny will get a more recognised Right Midfielder and utilise Henderson more in the central role where he will get the guidance from one of the best in the world in the form of Steven Gerrard. Even Gerrard got guidance from one of the clubs legend in Gary McAllister.

Downing - He has shown that he has struck a good understanding with Enrique on the left. Only luck is not on his side at the moment but he is surely the answer to the problematic left side of play which Liverpool have been quite poor in the last few seasons.

Enrique - He is the signing of the season so far. He has been the long term answer to the problematic left back position since Riise left the club.

Carroll - He is getting back to his fitness gradually. And I can see that he is still not at his full fitness and that is the reason why King Kenny is not pushing him too hard.

And expectations from the fans is something that is pressuring them at the moment too. Imagine coming from a club whose target season by season is to get into top 10 or maybe to avoid relegations , they will need time to adapt to fans who expect success every season and challenging for the title. It may be good for their reputations but not all players can have a change of mindset at the shortest possible time. Do not judge them now when the season is only 10 games old. At least judge them when they have played for a season with Liverpool.

Just My Opinion ,
