Just saw this stat on the bbc Kenny Dalglish's side have kept just two clean sheets in 10 league and cup games this term. Those shut-outs came in matches away to Everton and Arsenal, when their opponents were reduced to 10 men. They have allowed their opponents only 27 shots on target this season, the joint lowest total in the top flight.
It kind of confirms my feeling weve been unlucky so far normally having better chances in nearly every game but tothenan. Why do u guys think this is?

Well mistakes is the no 1 reason, you can look at skrtel and reina away to west brom last season, flanno peno against spurs and spearing peno against arsenal both last season, skrtel on hernandez when he slipped, skrtel on bale, kelly for Larssons goal for sunderland getting too close to cbs, carra aginst bolton missing the ball, carra on walters for peno, and red cards for adam and skrtel at spurs.
Mistakes are due to lack of concentration/organisisation or fitness so it's down to one of those 3, very rarely like Adam's red card it's bad luck.
In addition it seems a large amount of the goals we've conceded have been due to Enrique not being used to playing with the left sided cb and lm, or being a bit tired from attacking all match as quite a lot of the goals conceded are created or taken on the left flank. e.g Larsson goal -cross from left, carra peno- played in behind the left flank, Wolves goal from cross from the left flank, Lastly Hernandez's goal from the original corner smalling broke in behind Enrique and Gerrard had to go awol to concede the origin corner which resulted in another corner leading to the goal.

the problem lies with the centre pairing. Carragher is too old and performes once in a while, he also concededed a number of penalties. Skrtel is another one that performs once a year and makes silly mistakes like a child. Agger players 10 games a season while Coates is still untested. Coates should get more games in my opinion but he seems slow so if he plays, Carra can't as we will have 2 snails guarding the back. I want to see a Coates Agger partnership sometime to try it out.
You cannot fault Kelly, Enrique or even Johnson before them when he was on the left, they are doing their job correctly.

Have to say would love for us to sign Cahill in January for up to 10 mil, he'd jump at the chance to join us cause he can commute from his current home and chance of champ league. Imo he'll becoem Carras replacement.

unfortunately carragher is on the downward side of his career and also skrtel is just 5hite so the defence will let in goals .

Skrtel's losing it. Carragher is winding down, lacks speed and may start getting the bookings trying to defend like a 20 year old. That said, we can built with Enrique on the left, Coates in a central pairing with Caragher for the short future and Kelly on the right. Johnson attacks better tha he defends. But always a nice option to have. We effectively need a new working pairing of central defenders. Agger is a gem of a defender but at the rate he gets injured, he will never be long enough on the pitch to have an understanding with his fellow defenders. The entire back 4 MUST be on the same page.

Does everyone agree that Agger should be 3rd choice with Coates 1st choice if he settles well in 1-2 years time ideally the time it took Ivanovic to settle at Chelsea cause they seem very similar cb's. That of course in 1-2 seasons time.
So we need another cb this summer to replace one of the regular starters in carra or skrtel and we'll be looking to get Wisdom or Wilson at cb I guess after experience.

I think we're kidding ourselves if we think Agger will last 2 years. I would hope this is his last chance to make more than 20 appearances. It would be an absolute mistake by the club to keep him for another season if he starts his usual 10 games. There is no room for injury prone players anymore, get rid of him and get rid of his partner in crime Aurelio while we're on it.
