I've lived in Mersyside for the past 5 years. Been to a few games but have never watched a game in one of the pubs near Anfield. Since tickets will be as rare as hens teeth I think I'm gonna end up soaking the atmosphere in one of the nearby pubs. Any reccomendations or will it be too packed to even see the game on tv. Cheers.

Where it all began! the Sandon. but i think the best atmosphere will be the LFC supporters club lower breck road.

Theres a good choice but it has to be the Sandon as the other person has said. Its the standard place for those who come to Anfield on spec and cant get a ticket.

im in the same boat, usually go to the albert when ive got a ticket as they dnt show the games on tv!

where is the sandon? is it the one on oakfield road???

The albert is full of tourists

i know but its the only bar you can get a pint 5 mins before kick off and still be in on time!!

im going into the first national in town always a good atmosphere when we play the scum but id rather of went the game :-(
