TBH if i was paying to sponsor a team ( any random team) with 200m of my money i would wantnt their previous stadium name anywhere near my company name

Sorry this is off topic but didnt want to start new thread for it,for anyone whos interested Talksport radio is broadcasting from Liverpool next week apperently,they are talking about the Hillsborough files! i believe for those outside UK it it can be found online www.talksport.co.uk/live show begins at 10 am to 1pm british time weekdays.

If Carlsberg build a football stadium. It would probably be the best stadium in the world.

but adding anfield to their name would give them more globalism..

The stadium is named after the area its in,it will still be in anfield if they build in stanley park me thinks its possible to leave Anfield in it somehow!

just thought i will have to check Stanley park isn't actually in Everton!? apparently Everton is a Saxon name,eofor! translates to wild boar! says it all eh! apparently Anfield area originally named hanging fields! because of the sloping terrain,there was once a large house in the area called Anfield house which the area was built around. Stanley park is 45 hectares!

There is no reason that us fans can't still call it Anfield. I do think naming rights is the way to go though.

wat if the quataris do the naming right of the stadium and they would inject lots of money in the stadium

yea we need to still call it as anfield..

let them pay for the whole thing if they want. the less money we spend on the stadium the more money we will have to spend in the transfer window
