to solve the midfield problem, quality players need to be signed in jan 2012 or in the summer
ie sissoko, Javi m, these two players will help stop the panic football, with SG alongside them.

i wud have more faith n trust in javi m, sissoko, in our midfield, than lucas, adam.
based on footballing ability, javi m, sissoko, are far better all round players than adam, lucas.
given the choice, i wud play them two ahead of lucas, adam week in, week out,

Some one like Ever Banega will help us dictate games and its tempo.
Right now we are all over the place when we defend. A smarter team with strikers who can drop between the spaces (like Adebayor and VDV) would have made us pay. Wait, they did....

Banega is quality, just the type of player that is needed in our midfield.
problem is, most fans will say, where will their beloved Lucas fit in or play.
average players will not bring success to the club.
average is a top ten finish, if u r happy with that, then its ur choice.
lucas i believe is average, steady player, gives 100% always, with limited ability.
Players like sissoko, javi m, banega are quality, class, kind of players that can help bring success to the club and a better chance of winning the EPL title or finishing in the top 4, year in, year out.

I would not say that I'm panicking at the moment but the central of midfield and defence is a little worrying at the moment. Midfielders are lacking in creativity and agressions. Central defenders are lacking in confidence. At the same time I believe the mutual trust between players are not there. Look at Carragher. Does he trust his fellow Central defender like Skrtel and Agger like he trust Hyypia? I don't think so. That's why he keeps making small mistakes that could cost us sooner or later. I'm not saying that Carragher is the source of our so called lack of confidence at the moment but it seems that he is not as assured and confident with the current defensive partner as compared to Hyypia. The same goes for Lucas. He might not be the best player in the middle of the park but he does his job effectively. How would he had won the Liverpool's Player of the Year otherwise? Now that Gerrard is back , hopefully we can see the Lucas of last season who can do a job effectively and contribute to the attacking play of the team.
I would say in order to overcome this so called panic , players should learn to have more trust in each other and play to each other's strength. Jose Enrique and Stewart Downing are having a great time together on the left flank and creating most of the chances at the moment. If we can get that on all other areas then we should put this so called panic behind us. Lucas/Spearing and Adam/Gerrard ( centre midfield ) , Kuyt/Henderson and Kelly/Johnson ( right side ) and Carragher and Agger/Skrtel/Coates ( centre defence ).

a sensible post which offers credible observation of where we are. I counted 8/9 new faces(since jan) in the squad on sat with 6 on the pitch. It sometimes clicks and looks great but quite often we look a little ragged and calamatous under pressure. Over the season as things settle down we will become more solid and fluent. The return of Gerrard and the under rated Johnson will add greater quality to the team.
Henderson for me neither pleases or offends, he doesn't tend to make mistakes but as they say those who don't mistakes don't make anything. He does possess most things in his profile but hasn't yet felt confident enough to show it.
I am hoping that Gerrard will supply drive to our play and start to get the best out of the new signings. He looked fantastic yesterday.

Ridiculous topic and the negativity for those that have been playing together for 5 minutes.
Let's just list the whole squad in different topics and criticize everything that doesn't make them Messi going forward or Maldini defensively. Probably far from the worst topic, but it's just getting silly now.
