exactly what i was thinkinh sitting watching the match on sunday and looking to the bench and thinking in all honesty how is that bench any stronger than it was last season with the likes of spearing,flanno,maxi,robinson where as if we still had AA merieles and dare i say it j cole we would really have alot of strength in depth and throw in bellamy for good measure who imo should be pushing for a starting place against brighton

we sold raul because he didn't want to play for us, or he'd rather play for chelsea. either way we had to sell him because we're not gonna keep a player who doesn't wanna play for us, specially when said player is only gonna be a bench warmer.

AA IMO is our biggest lose also

I still don't believe that Raul didn't want to play for us. I think it was a pure business decision. We had bought in the midfield so had to clear some out and he was the most saleable of the lot we had. Why not sell Aqua or Cole instead of loaning them and keep Raul?

I'll say it agian, we need strength in depth and that has been lacking for years. When we had it, we get rid of three top international players and are left with not much.

Totally agree wilki. I was extremely happy just a week before the window shut because I knew we had a good squad that can compete in all fronts but by 1st Sept we are back on square one. Miereles or Aquilani would have given us different options to change a game. Look what Miereles did when he came on against Arsenal. Having Spearing and Robinson on the bench is not going to help us, nothing against the lads and I hope they progress but putting them against spurs will not change a thing when we needed someone to take control. Bad management by the club once again.

and bad judgment by KD ie loaning out AA, not buying more quality players to improve the starting 11,
