Martin Skrtel.

He is an absolutely shocking player.

After an initial decent start to his Pool career this man has gone and to fill me with dread every single time I watch him play.

Always grabbing on shirts when caught out by his poor positioning (even when he is in the box), gives more fouls away in dangerous places than even Lucas and that's saying something!

The man brought in for about 6m as our version of Vidic is anything but...........

He is not even a Championship player and I seriously mean that.

Today's result may be the wake up call we need. Kenny has to be ruthless and bomb garbage like Skrtel out of the club like he has so ruthlessly done with RH and RB's buys.

If anyone can put a case going forward for MS to be kept I'd love to hear it.

We have Coates now who needs to be blooded. Martin Kelly (Fit enough for the bench) and Flanno should have been picked ahead of this waste-man player.

Our midfield was atrocious today. We need SG back to galvanise the TEam and squad and then we will be fine I'm sure.

Getting really worried about AC too! He was shocking today. You can see that his confidence is shot to pieces so he needs to get out of this rut before a deep Torres style rot sets in!

He has been a bit of a liability of late. We obviously bought Coates for a reason so lets start playing him.

Skirtel is al right he is just having a bad run of form rather like 90% of the rest of the squad

Takes a lot for any follower of a team to cuss one of your own but he is so below average its unbelievable!

Playing out of position is one thing. Others making poor decisions is another but name me any time he has had a sterling/towering perfomance and I will show you another Liverpool Defender who has had 10x as many good games.

His defending is on a par with Glen Johnson's That's no dig on GJ as he is a Right Back that is very good going forward.

MS is a dodgy CB that will always cost us points and matches simply because he is not up to it.

There is a distinct lack of confidence in the Back four when he plays.

Now is the time to bin him permanently and then start blooding Coates so he can be the future CB partnership with Agger and JC as Backup.

Skrtel was shocking today. Couldn't even outjump Defoe for that one ball, and Defoe wasn't even jumping. Agger "cost" us the first goal by getting injured, and then having Downing and Skrtel contrive to leave Bale totally unmarked. Apart from that Skrtel did nothing right - every possession we had turned to nothing because he didn't know what to do when going forward other than pass it back to Carra and back to Reina. Kenny should have switched to 3-5-2 with Downing and enrique as wing-backs just so that Skrtel wouldn't have to think about going forward.

No one turned up it's true, but Skrtel was essentially playing for Spurs. Massive liability - been saying it since the beginning of last season, and had to endure him playing every minute of the EPL.

The whole team was garbage today. Bale is healthy and Skrtel has no chance to stay with Bale at W.H.L. Skrtel can and will be replaced but he had an almost impossible job today. The whole team was garbage today. The defense was toxic garbage.

I could not believe it when RH went with Carra and Skrtel as his main CB partnership last season. He played Skrtel over Agger! Ludicrous!

AS you clearly stated, MS played every minute of last season and that was a massive contribution to our poor, poor season.

I would still have kept Soto over Skrtel. Soto was actually a good defender. His only problem is that he lacked the pace required for the prem. Much better suited to a slower placed league.

He just got caught out by speed. Skrtel has no excuses. He is just a plain 'wrong un'. End Of!

It kills me that KK has eradicated near enough every trace of the previous regimes but left this numpty to fester in our defensive ranks.

Shocking how some people can spot such great talent but miss the blindingly obvious!

Yup, Rafarendum, that's why I didn't lay the blame for that goal totally at Skrtel's feet: leaving Bale unmarked is just dumb in any circumstances, but he was just following orders there. Downing should have shown a bit more awareness, seeing as Bale had already strolled passed Skrtel more than once already; injury to Agger or no.

We just weren't switched on in the first half, and by the time we woke up we were a goal and a man down. Skrtel then proceded to put in the performance of a lifetime.
