The first handball against Delap was a penalty by the letter of the law. His arm was out and his hand stopped the ball from going into a more dangerous position.
Carragher gave away a penalty and yes it was a penalty. It may have been a bit soft but again by the letter of the law it was a penalty. He impeded Walters run and helpd him back!
The last handball Suarez was calling for was not a penalty, it deflected off Upson's leg, he had his arms tucked in and the ball deflected onto it....No penalty.
Henderson 1 on 1 with Begovic but he should have put the ball through to Suarez. Henderson was being closed down by two defenders and either should have put it away but a through ball to Suarez was the best option because he was on his own, no defenders and barely the keeper to beat.
All in all, we should have scored at least three and we had no luck. Sometimes in football we need some luck and we don't seem to get too much of it. We actually played pretty well and created chances. We know Stoke are resiliient and are always tough to beat, no matter who they play at the Brittania so I don't think it's panic stations for LFC. Many a top side will drop points at Stoke this season.
Let's look forward to the next game against Spurs and play them off the park and pick up the three points.

All contentious decisions aside, simple fact is we didn't take our chances. We are to blame for not winning, no the ref (even though he was sh1te! smile ).

Totally agree with you keeper, end of the day we did not take our chances. Had Hendersen scored we would of gotten a point and moved on and that is just one chance I can remember, I am sure there are a few more that could of won us the game. Fact is english refs are shet and sometimes their with you and sometimes their not, against stoke they weren't with us but that is not an excuse. We could of and should of won but we didn't Lets move on.

Does anyone agree with me on this and be honest

if Henderson came from are academy instead of sunderlands do you think are fans would be saying he is the next big thing

I for one think so anyway it means a lot to some people not me

So do you agree if he was from Liverpool he'd be seen as the next big thing

You're dead right there. If he was a scouser and had just come through the ranks people wouldn't be on here slagging them as they are. Well... on second thought, i'm sure there are a few who still would.

this is the situation with Spearing. Because he is a "local lad" he gets praise, when in fact there is not much talent on show from him, he is a championship player at best. On the Henderson subject, although Henderson does have the talents, mentally he needs to mature. He refrains his attributes and takes the safe route all the time. Hopefully with Gerrads help he can be a top player.

I don't really rate Spearing to be honest. Look how low he has gone down the pecking order. I don't see him bossing the midfield for Liverpool anytime soon.

Well, clearly he's not first choice. But neither is Bellamy or Skrtel, for example - I don't think that makes them sh*te. You don't rate him, that's fine. I happen to rate him a lot more. I see a lot of good in his game, that i'd imagine most people have been missing because they're the 'uglier' parts of the game, but just as essential and the fancy attention-grabbing parts.

Of course not, Lucas plays what you call an ugly part of the game. What he does is not that pretty but it is very efficient, players like him have taken a big step from where they were before, to where they are now. I just feel if Spearing wants a future at Liverpool he should be taken those same steps.
