Money came into the equation - it always does when you can earn 20-30k more per week by switching ckubs

But I agree with you over the reasons he left - but as I''ve explained many times my beef is that he wrote a book saying his values are the same as those of the club - which is complete and utter nonsense as they couldn't be fartyher apart - not to mention his lie last August where he said he was as comir=tted to the ckub as when he first came - another lie that you could tell straigh off as soon as he started playing for LFC

It's well documented that Torres considered himself above other members of the squad - whether the time he told his captain Jamie Carragher to shut up during the Everton game or the fact he never attended any of the team bonding exercises and always complained when he had to do the carity work - visiting people oin hospital and all that kind of stuff - something I'm 100% certain he doesn't do wuth Chelsea - the most uncharitable ckub in world football

He's certainly greedy - his move showed as much

As for the admiration of Franco, not knowing Torres personally I have no way of knowing how true that is although I do know Madrid is the most conservative city in Spain by a mile and most Spanish players are known for being Conservative

See, i've never heard those accusations before. If they're true, then i'd be disgusted, and would say good riddance to them, but I don't know where you've heard them, or if they're just things that somebody made up to throw mud on his name.

Unbless reporters like Tony Barrett and Tony Evans - both massive Liverpool fans - are making it up - which I doubt given that they both write for a prestigious national newspaper

During the Everton game, Carragher had a go at Torres for one reason or another - as captains do - and Torres motioned him to shut up by pointing towards his lips

As for any team bonding exercise Torres felt he had a God-given right not to attend - the same wayy Ferguson doesn't do post match conferences - amnd towards the end of his Anfield career he never used to attend

There was one such incident in a Liverpool restaurant last November where the whole squad turned up - but not the arrogant Spaniard

Thats the risk (assuming jim's points are true) in having a 'latin' player. I can well understand that he wouldnt like carragher 'getting on his case' . I am sure he considered himself as 'better player' than carragher because he is more skilful. What we might consider 'arrogance' though would be more considered on the continent as torres asserting himself. So it wouldnt make me condemn him on that score. As for not doing the charity stuff well i imagine thats part and parcel of the english game (dunno about chelsea). All in all it shows how lucky lfc are to have suarez who is fiery but a grafter in the team.

look at all the great players, past n present, they have all lost their form sometime in their careers, confidence etc etc and bounced back and stuck 2 fingers up to all those haters.

Torres come back home, start scoring again and all will be forgiven.

You must be having a laugh are you? Home that fool has no home. In a home you live with family members or friends and you must show loyalty and not turn your back when the going gets tough. I might be mistaken but I doubt the players would welcome him back. The disrespect he showed the club by his actions he shouldn't be taken back even on a free.

if torres returned any sort of team spirit the team might have wil be gone , comolli , gerrard and carragher all commented about torres going was like a black cloud getting lifted fromm the club , and dont come back with it was hodgsons fault because dalglish was well in charge when torres completely spat him dummy and toys out the pram ., he has got a start for chelsea tonight lets see how he reacts

I would take him back he is a great player. Here what you say about team morale but I think the Chelsea experience will have knocked the wind out of his sails. I wouls sooner have him than Carroll any day of the week. The number of excuses we make every week for him would fill a book

I personaly think Torres has been on decline for the past three seasons, each season he has gradualy got worse, similar in some ways to Michael Owen, injuries and loss of form take control and before you know it you have lost it forever.
