I dont remember saying I want Torres to fail, and Im not sure But I dont think I mentioned Andy Carroll at all. My Point was, Forgeting Torres as a player, he hurt alot of fans with the way he left, encluding me. We all thought he was different and it turned out he wasnt. The lack of effort he showed in the last 6 months was shocking and he handed in a transfer request giving us next to no time to get a replacement. Do we really want someone like that at the club. There's nothing essentially unique or wrong with that as most players (especially those from foreign countries) fall into that category - but they don't publish auto biographies full of out and out lies about their personal lives in some crass attempt to win over fans
I don't believe that he left Liverpool for more money, tbh. I genuinely believe that he left for the reason he gave, which was because he felt he had a better chance of winning trophies there (albeit an ill-judged decision, and probably one he's regretting already).
The values of Torres - greed, premadona perceptions, aloof nature, a dislike of charity work, supposed admiration for Franco etc - have nothing to do with those of Liverpool football club so how dare he try to suggest they do
Not only that but as you say he made no effort that last season - apart from against Chelsea, a noveu rich team full of bling and racist f***wit fans whose ideals are perfectly matched by those of Torres
I genuinely believe he's found his perfect club - and Toores and Chelsaeqa do seem like a match made in Heaven
