Was wondering the same thing. Can you think of anyone else it could be? Alonso?

There are only a few that could be described that way. Alonso, Masch or Torres. As Alonso and Masch seem perfectly happy where they are that could mean it is Torres?

The only one I can think of is Alonso. Masch's missus didnt like England full stop so I cant see him coming back.

There is no way if I was in charge I would have Torres back he turned his back on us when we needed him most and as a result all bridges have been burnt as far as im concerned. What would it say about Liverpool as a club if we allow him back into the dressing room.

Mascherano can't play in the position that he prefers to play for Barcelona (if he even makes the team) but surely it can't be him because:
1) His wife didn't like England
2) like Torres, he kind of burnt his bridges when he left by refusing to play against Man City
3) Why would he leave the best team in the world?

I dont remember saying I want Torres to fail, and Im not sure But I dont think I mentioned Andy Carroll at all. My Point was, Forgeting Torres as a player, he hurt alot of fans with the way he left, encluding me. We all thought he was different and it turned out he wasnt. The lack of effort he showed in the last 6 months was shocking and he handed in a transfer request giving us next to no time to get a replacement. Do we really want someone like that at the club. I dont

It was the Man City game he refused to play in, I think? But yeah, I agree that it can't be him. Although I think he mended a few of those bridges when he dedicated the CL victory over Man Ure to Liverpool fans. Torres seems like the obvious choice, although i'd personally prefer if it was Alonso. Regardless, it's just a rumour not by any means a certainty. There's something about a former LFC player returning that always excites me.

well this wont be till January would it? or do the rules allow players on loan mid season do they? unless crisis has hit,injuries and the like.
