Couple of questions ?

Do you think we have had a good transfer window ?

Does any of you really think we could of signed aguero lol ?

Is this squad better than squads rafa put together ?

And were do you think are teams weakest area is ?

Defo had a good window, got rid of so much of the deadwood we must be saving a fortune in wages.

just no on the aguero front, i don't think we ever had a chance, we might have tried for him but don't think he would have been interested due to the lack of chaps league football.

I recon were close to the squad rafa built the year we nearly won the league, but dont quite have the characters to lead us forward yet, still missing out of the inspirational figures that lifted the team like gerrard and torres when in form, xabi and arbeloa who at the time were unspoken heros and masch and reina in the kind of form where if you did manage to get past one chances are the other was there to stop you!

very good transfer window, a couple of more 1st team signings in Jan 2012 and EPL title is ours.

Ageuro maybe, if city did not come in for him with their high wages.

overall the squad is better than rafa, but rafa had a better starting 11,(wen the team came runners up, in the League,) than KD has at the mo.

I wud like KD to buy a Quality Right Back,( that can defend, i do not rate johnson as a defender, and until kelly can stay injure free and play 10/15 games on the bounce, i think a right back is needed),

1. Good transfer window, we may argue Hendo's price was inflated but he looks a future champion, and as for the other signings they were well worth their price, some may say we had a bargain in Enrique and Adam, I cant comment on Coates, not seen him play and Bellamy on free is a excellent choice for a back up striker and Downing was bought for the right price, regardless of what anybody says.

2. Yes I think we could have, however we did not need him, and think of the wages he would ask for.

3. Yes it is better, we have greater dept in this squad than Rafa's squad and we don't need to rely on just Gerrard,Torres and Alonso. Everybody does their job right, and we have right players in the right positions.

4. I think we don't have any major weakness, probably the only think I can say is, we seem to hoof the ball over and over again when Caroll is playing, but it is still ineffective.

A very good window simply because we removed about 30-40 mil of wages from players leaving the club who weren't needed regardless of who we've bought that alone makes it a good window.

Yes we could have signed Aguero and even Dunk stated if I recall we were interested in him in January before we signed suarez and Carroll but we were told he wasn't for sale and this summer we were willing to spend the money to bring him (30- 40mil) but couldn't in no way afford his wages in addition to other signings.

Squad is definitely better as for the first time in ages should we have injuries anywhere in the team we have a replacement straight away. But the 1st eleven is still imo really quite weak compared with the 1st 11 from the 07-09 seasons, but the reason it was so good is because Rafa sold many of the backup players to buy the best 1st eleven although not by choice mainly because of Hicks and Gillet.

Teams weakest area is prob rm/rb and upfront.
Mainly because without Kuyt we have no real quality in rm Maxi and Henderson can play good but not consistently like Kuyt.
Again at rb we have Kelly who is too inconsistent, Flano who is way too inexperienced and always makes a challenge when sometimes shepherding the opponent would be ideal, e.gs peno against spurs last season and against downing last game of last season.
Johnson was and has been excellent since Kenny has come but that has mainly been at lb and not rb so still slight doubts over the consistency.

Upfront untill Carroll settles and plays with the team we have one world class striker in Suarez, Bellamy and Carroll are at a level below Suarez but still a much better strikers than before the window.

Yes we've had an amazing summer the amount of players we managed to get rid of in 1 summer is amazing and has lifted our squad, it's now a very tight nit squad with a lot of english players.

i don't think we even really wanted aguero, im not saying we didnt enquire about him, but i think and enquiry is as far as it went, so no i dont think we could have signed aguero.

like a couple of people have already said rafa' first 11 was better but we now have more coming from the bench, so i'd say it pretty even.

we need a better CB to partner agger and we need better cover at LB or should i say more reliable cover at LB. we need another winger, and someone better than jay spearing. i know he works his arse off every game but he can be so rubbish even simple passing and moving can be too much for him.

Solid transfer window, very solid. Aguero Im sure wnated Champions league football so until LFC get it we arent going to get guys like him. I never saw the squad under Rafa. Our weak points are speed and depth although both of those have been helped by the summer signings. We still dont have the world class depth of the Scum or even the depth that City are now flexing.

Good transfer window? - too early to tell regarding some of the signings but a big plus is that we got rid of some dross

Could we have signed Aguero? - if we'd wanted him and we got a deal wrapped up before City got wind of it, then quite possibly

Is the squad better than rafa's nearly men? - Again, too early to tell. My gut instinct is that it's not quite there but who knows....

Our weakest area? - defence is a bit thin and I don't have a lot of confidence in the fringe players. That said, our biggest weakness is that our squad haven't played together for very long.

is this squad better....? too early to tell but definitely got the potential to be.

weakness? width. i really hope that downing will stay free from injuries for the whole season. this area got a bit stronger though when we signed bellamy...
