keny did say gerrard would mot be automatic choice like everone else.
gerrard has been an attacker for years.hes good at that.defensivly he offers nothing.his passing is often wayward.his corners and freekicks are often wasted too.
It is time the team was allowed to develop without him.

yes he CAN pass well..when it coes off but all to often it goes wayward.when was the last time the team scored from his corners which he seems to hog all the time or when did he last curl a free kick in from outside the box.yes he has done that in his career but not often.theres a place for him still but he must not be the main man were it all centers around him.if he is played in the center he will actualy make the midfield even weaker.he cannot defend.

Adam probably takes better corners. But Gerrard's passing is fantastic. Short and long, he passes it quicker than adam too. He thinks of things a step or two before players like adam do and I'm sure suarez and downing will thrive off of that.

he is not a tempo passer, he is an impact passer which is better up top than midfield.
