Players should be motivated to train harder and try harder for their clubs when given minutes. He was told he wasn't first in the pecking order, so what? No one is first in the pecking order while Kenny is in the helm. He should of stayed and tried harder for liverpool.

I see what you are saying snakes all fans want people to stay for the clubs sake but I don't think he stabbed us in the back as did Traitores. I know in my job if the boss brought in 4 new staff and I felt I deserved a shot and another company came in for me I would go despite if the boss was a nice guy etc. I know football isn't the same as a regular job but players have families and career aspirations that don't always tally with the wishes of us fans. Not a popular view I imagine but as long as a player doesnt leave the club in the XXXX then I think there is little to raproach them for if they put in a request. i think you are being a bit harsh on meireles, he is joining a side that is in the champions league,also a team with his former manager AVB,and i think in the end his relationship with dalglish broke down.


the torres situation was completly diffrent as he promised us if we spent he would stay we got suarez, he aqlso said athletico my spannish club and liverpool is my english club 5 months before and then said chelsea was a bigger club.
