Question for you, two? Was Adebayor a good striker at Arsenal?

I'm going to presume you're not going to be so stupid as to say "No".

So why has he struggled lately, playing for his 3rd different club in as many years?

Because the team he played for worked to his strengths, and his teams since do not.

How is this relevant to Andy Carroll? Because this is a squad that 8 months ago was built around Steven Gerrard, and honed to play a totally different brand of football to that which suits Carroll.

So to the next question: how long have Manchester City being spending hundreds of millions of pounds each year in order to win the title?

3 seasons.

Why have they failed? A squad with that many changes takes time to gel.

Just as Andy Carroll will take to time to gel with Liverpool FC.

So it's a good thing that 35million pounds came with a 5.5 year contract.

It would also be a good thing if you got your head around this.

what could we offer aguero to get him? We never looked likely to get near the top 4 in January. do you also think it made sense in the january window to buy 2 unproven premiership performers in Suarez and Aguero? Carroll's transfer hasn't worked out just yet, he's having to adapt to a new style of football but we bought him knowing that he could cut the mustard at premiership level. Did anyone really expect Suarez to be as good as he is as quickly?

Um? So Aguerro had his heart set on playing for a club that didn't even qualify for the Europa League, and couldn't offer him half the wages he's getting at City?

You must be one of the people who think we're the only club in the world that wants to buy new players.

Your latter point is actually critical in understanding the Carroll "problem". Suarez has been so amazing in terms of his ability, his commitment, his desire to win, everything, that everything just clicks into place with him. I believe Kenny wanted to build a Toshack and Keegan pairing with Carroll and Suarez, but the Uruguayan has been so phenomenal that the partnership hasn't really taking the front seat. We also needed results, and the shortest route there was just to aim everything at Suarez and watch him go. That won't work forever.

For now Carroll is our Plan B, so there's really no point in "supporters" wondering why he's had so "little" impact (1 goal in 4 games, including 2 as a substitute, with a goal and an assist wrongfully disallowed hardly seems like he's done nothing, does it?).

This thread isn't about Carroll. Although im not his biggest fan the thread is about Craig Bellamy.

I was abit jubious about resigning "bell" as snakeeye put it.. but i think i have come round to it abit more now after seeing his interview and reading his comments.

He's a Liverpool fan and will do his upmost best for the club and we got him on a free, he could be the player that really makes the difference this season, so glad to see Ngog gone and Bellamy in as his replacement.
