Why don't we just convert him to a waiter in the Boot Room Sports Café? Surely he could do some proper work there? Most overpaid waiter in the history, but better that than splinters in the arse at Lille and with us still paying 50% of his wages!

kenny is on holiday now, and although it isn't integral that he is at melwood when we're negotiating for/buying players, it does give a massive signal that we won't be doing anything to big over the next couple of days. holiday? seems strange... i would assume the players who haven't gone away with their national teams (carra etc) will be at melwood this week.

Skysports.com understands ambitious Ligue 1 new boys Evian are lining up a move to sign Liverpool's out-of-favour midfielder Christian Poulsen.
The Denmark international joined the Reds on a three-year contract from Juventus 12 months ago and was signed by Roy Hodgson.
However, he has struggled to make an impact under Hodgson's successor Kenny Dalglish and has not been involved so far this season.
A return to former club FC Copenhagen was ruled out earlier in the summer, while Poulsen was also linked with a loan move to Espanyol.
Ahead of Wednesday's transfer deadline, the 31-year-old has now emerged as a target for Evian, who are looking to make a splash in the French top flight this season.
Evian have collected five points from their opening four games, and have signed the likes of Cedric Mongongou and Sidney Govou already this summer.

Wasn't Affelay on the radar recently? ye alots of rumours about afellay zarate and jovetic.....but jovetic is very much injury prone....he spends more time on treatment table than aquilani and van persie combined....lol From what i've seen, 'reports' of solid interest in those players are without any decent foundation. I'd welcome the signing of any of them, but I would be genuinely astounded if anything even remotely concrete came of any of them. A few Italian papers have apparently confirmed the Zarate interest. I hope there's something to it. He looks class.

I remember him when he was on loan at Birmingham a few years ago, he looked decent back then anyway. Haven't seen much of him since then, but i've heard good things about him.

Haven't seen much of him since then, but i've heard good things about him. i liked him a lot when he was at blues, living in birmingham i go to blues often-ish and he was brilliant, if i remember rightly we were linked with him. i would like him, but like you i have seen very little of him in italy.

dom_campbell Dominic Campbell Sebastian Coates deal is done and dusted. Meanwhile, #LFC have received and rejected a £12m bid from Spurs for Meireles.
