added to this i agree carragher is getitng no younger but he isnt making mistake after msitake, sami played on till he was what 34-35 then went to leverkusen and proved he could have stayed here for another 2 seasons. keep carra around even if he does have to rest against the lesser teams

I think calling him a liability is a bit harsh, considering his performances in the past two games. He's getting old, there's not denying that, but he still has a role to play. He'll probably see more of the bench than he does now, but that doesn't mean he's done yet.

Steven Gerrard maybe the captain of Liverpool FC but Jamie Carragher is the organiser of the team from defence. To have a great team we do need a superb defensive line. Jamie Carragher have been there for more than a decade and he is still there. To criticise him for a mistake is the silliest thing to do. He is the most experience and best Centre Back that Liverpool have right now. He also have this one thing that no other Centre Back in the world will ever have. The Never Say Die Attitude Of A Liverpudlian/Scousers. Liverpool can buy all the world class Centre Back but no one will ever show the enthusiasm that Carragher can show. He is the Paolo Maldini of Liverpool.

All this is true but there will be a day when he won't be in the starting line up or even on the bench and we will have to do without him. Calling him a liability is disrespectful and disgraceful as far as i'm concerned because he may lack pace (which he never had IMO) but his organization and leadership counts for a lot with the back four we have and he marshalls the defence well. I do agree though that he will slowly be fazed out over the next 2 seasons.

thats three threads you've posted the same thing on. it was never a penalty, not that i expect you to know that. you dont like lfc, or support the players so just head on.
