Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli said: "I want to pay tribute to the way Alberto has conducted himself during these discussions.

"Throughout the entire process, his only desire has been to play football and he has put this ahead of any other considerations and at personal cost to himself. We wish him well for the season ahead."

Well put DC.

Generally spoken I agree, but we have a real world issue to deal with here.

We can't find a buyer for him, and Kenny doesn't want him in the squad (at least he feels it's better to loan Aqua out than bringing him into the squad).

So what can we do then?

1) Accept a loan deal.

2) Give Kenny the boot for not wanting to take Aqua under his wings. Reinstall Aqua. In this case we would end up with an Italian who is longing for Italy and his family.

Unfortunately this business has been wrong from day 1, and it doesn't end until we have finally sold him. frown

Get rid of the poor b&stard its clear he doesnt like the E nglish game and the english game sure don't like him- i am disappointed as I like aquilani a lot and at another team he would have maybe been playing more often. Bit narked that we bought him with a major injury though height of stupidity c os he cost us a lot

But what about the squad - surely Aqua is good enough for that (judging by how Shelvey plays!). It would be easier to understand if Kenny just said that Aqua didn't want to be at Liverpool - but the emphasis was definitely on how he's not part of Kenny's team plans. It's tempting to ask - how the hell can Hendo be a better option based on the first couple of games - but I don't want to bash the lad so early in the proceedings. We just have to hope that Kenny is right - but I must confess that I'm a bit worried if we don't sign a flair player to replace Aquilani. Our midfielders are all workhorses and we need someone who can dribble, run at players, and create space. Perhaps this will be addressed before the window closes.
whats this questioning dalglish ? its pretty clear like anyone with any sense dalglish didnt rate him
