Reina 6 – Not his busiest night and apart from unnecessarily coming off his line at the start of the second half, did all that was required

Flanagan 4 – Not a great night. Got wrestled off the ball on a couple of occasions and didn’t look particularly comfortable in possession

Skrtel 5 – Wasn’t kept particularly busy by Exeter’s strikers but still managed to concede a penalty with a careless lunge of the foot

Wilson 6 – Looked more composed than Skrtel but like the Slovakian he wasn’t overly tested

Robinson 6 – Solid without being spectacular

Henderson 6 – Saw quite a lot of the ball and was at times a fairly useful attacking outlet wide on the right although at other times he was wasteful. Took his undeserved yellow card for getting hacked down in the box well

Adam 6 – Another player afforded a lot of time on the ball and whilst he started well, his passing became less assured following the introduction of Carroll, opting for too many long balls

Spearing 6 – Kept it simple in a fairly solid all-round performance.

Maxi Rodriguez 5 – Missed a glorious chance in the first half and whilst he found the back of the net in second, did little to suggest he’ll be challenging Downing for a place on the flanks

Carroll 5 – Gets an extra point for his great goal but that can’t overshadow a general labouring performance where the big man looked decisively rusty

Suarez 8 – Scored the first, set up the second and third and was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch in terms of both effort and talent

Downing 6 – A couple of threatening runs down the flank although he completely fluffed his best scoring chance when he was through on goal

Overall - Apart from Suarez, none of the team really came out of second gear although they didn't need to be in what became a fairly routine win

reina, 7. did he job perfectly came out and caught pretty much every cross they put in.

flanno, 4. he was poor, technically he is awful his passing and crossing need serious work.

skrtel, 4. had 1 bit of serious defending to do and he gave away a pen doing it.

wilson, 5. he did okay came out of defence with the ball a couple of times, nice to see.

robbo, 7. he got absolutely no protection from maxi he had to deal with 2-on-1 situations all the time and did very well.

hendo, 6. did nothing of any real note, worked hard as he always seems to do but he is so uncomfortable on the right.

spearing, 5. he was spearing enough said.

adam, 6. slightly better than spearing but not much, he was okay.

maxi, 5/7. in general play throughout the game he did his usual fukk all, but he popped up with a goal.

meireles, 0. went off too early to give him any rating.

suarez, 7. nice goal and a really good attitude which you wouldn't except from a foreigner in such a game.

downing, 6. he did okay.

shelvey, 5. he didn't see any of the ball, so did nothing, he should have started ahead of adam.

carroll, 4/7. he really looked horrible and clumsy every time he was near the ball, but he did his job and scored, hopefully that will be a considerable weight off his shoulders.

MOTM; robinson. i know suarez will get everyone else' vote but as i said maxi didn't help him at all and de defended very well considering how many times he was out numbered.

Suarez only a 7? Jeez.

Suarez 10/10 (Don't know what else you want him to do to get maximum points...

I think Shelvey should have started ahead of Adam in this game

It's no wonder quite a few fans suspect he's all hype when he's restricted to a couple of minutes at the end of games

I would have thought Johnson - who hasn't featured in any of our three games (is he injured) - might have got a run out on the right flank and was surprised that Suarez started the game

10/10 he was playing exeter maybe if he scored 4 goals then maybe just maybe.

He was involving in every attack. Does not matter if its United or Exeter, man of the match, deserves the 10 for me. Flanno and Robbo played indifferently for me, did okay, nothing special, maybe I should of given flanno a 5 aswell.

flanno deserves a 2, he can barely pass a ball 5 yards. if he was french no fan would rate him.

suarez didnt do anything amazing, he was the best player on the pitch and he took his goal nicely, 10/10 is a bit much.

Reina - 7 , Never had much to do but only got beat by a penalty
Flanno - 5.5 , Looked shaky at times and needs to improve his forward play
Skrtel - 5.5 , He was ok all night never had much to do the penalty pushed my decision down 1 mark
Wilson - 7 , was solid all night and brought theball out rather than just hoofing it
Robinson - 6.5 , Defensively was solid but lacks the attacking ability
Adam - 6.5 , kept the passing flowing nicely most the night but made the odd silly ball and tried running through players
Spearing - 6.5 passing was ok and tackling was ok but just went missing in the game for me
Maxi - 7 , never done too much the goal has pushed him up .5 of a rating
Meireles - 7 , while he was on looked sharp and looked to be causding problems
Henderson - 7 , caused problems all night and had a practically flawless pass completion but doesn't track back enough and is too soft in the tackle
Suarez - 9 , looked sharp and caused problems all night only bad part for me was at times he seemed to be coming too deep

Carroll - 6 , gave away possesion a bit to easily and looked a bit shaky at times but good points were he wanted the ball at his feet more and his goal obviously
Downing - 6.5 , never saw to much of the ball when he come on but everytime he got on the ball he caused a threat was unlucky not to score
Shelvey - 6.5 , was only on a short time but looked like he wanted the ball his passing was accurate just never saw enough too give a higher score
