Excellent night for the boys which will do wonders for their confidence. Hope this continues into Bolton. We got stoke and spurs away next. So this home game is a must win.

we got the result but it wasnt a great performance. even dow carroll scored he looked abit crapp today. i think henderson was our worst payer today. he did northing of note.
i do worry about the bolton game. i can see us losing two points due to sum of our players being tied

we will beat bolton. thought we where ok tonight, we need to come out all guns blazing at weekend. Carroll did still look clumsy and sluggish tonight, but its early in the season. henderson needs more confidence

Poor performance, good result.

tbh i hated last nights game couldn't have been any more bored. the team that played was ridiculously slow, so watching us attack was like watching the Q.E, 2 turn around. flanno is so average i cant believe people actually like me as a player, robbo was brilliant. shelvey should have started and coady, sterling and wisdom should have had some minutes, that way we would have been able to take something away from last nights game but really all that happened is we beat a league 1 side, averagely. only 2 good things from last nights game; we didnt have another embarrassing loss and carroll scored a nice goal, but he looked like he was playing on ice slipping and sliding everywhere very clumsy.

For me carroll was by far the worst player, I'm putting his performance down to a poor attitude
rather than a lack of talent though. A six foot plus premiership striker should be scarring and bossing
the live out of div one defenders not the other way around.

My faith in this guy coming good for us is turning more and more into hope.
I’ll defer my final decision on him till after Christmas that gives him another 10 -15 prem
games (after a full preseason he can have no excuses by then).

i dont think Henderson was so bad, he worked hard and has improved since the Sunderland game. Rarely gives the ball away and positionally is sound. That said if he wants to keep his place then he has to up his game significantly. In that right side position we need players who are offensive, being neat and tidy is great but long term not effective. I try and look at it as what he is - a 20yr old lad learning the game - not we spent 16mil he must be brilliant straight off.
i would suggest giving him more time.
Carroll is more of a concern as he does not even look like a footballer, poor balance, no speed and turns like an oil tanker. I need to be convinced more than a thrash from the edge of the box.
