I wish other people were sensible enough to give the lad until the end of the season at least. How can you make your mind up about a player by August?

"a chance till the end of the season" Why? cuz the've kind-of found their place in the team already, some are playing like the've been here all their lives! Carroll u'll have to admit hasn't. yet he IS the MOST EXPENSIVE player in the clubs history, infact he is among the most expensive in the history of the league if not the world. To pay that kind of money one has to be a top top top player which clearly Carroll wasn't/isn't (he might be in future - how I wish). Apart from his height which every defender will be prepared for (as was clear against Arsenal), I cant see what other dimension he brings. Now its not his fault that we paid such an obscene amount of money for him (I have nothing against him, he seems like a nice bloke btw) and we cant change anything after the fact, I just wouldnt want to be the one who sanctioned that transfer cuz its looking scandalous every other day.

No but I'd prefer that we were more astute in the transferred market. We didn't need to panic buy in Jan, no one held a gun to our heads to force us to buy Carroll, its hard to believe any other team would have paid the kind of money we spent on him considering whats being paid for real genuine world class players, Imagine what we could have bought with 35M
