I was always a huge admirer of Mr. Benayoun. Why exactly did we sell him, was it his his age? Or was he asking for a move to Chavski? IMHO he was our best super-sub, could always count on him to give 110%, just like Dirk.

I believe yossi and rafa had a falling out and he still wanted out after rafas departure.

Yossi turned out to be a pretty decent player in the end. Cant see him lasting long at Chelsea though.

Yeah, they fell out and the deal for his move to Chelsea was done before Rafa was even axed - even though he actually left after Roy's arrival. I felt it was an awful shame, was always a big fan of Yossi myself. A player with great feet, determination, and a good attitude too.

Might that be the Golden Boot?
