I just don't understand why we need to loan L. Leiva out even if we go for this guy. They may place in the same position but if one gets injured, there will be nobody to cover.

Agreed. Lucas is a prized position that we need to keep no matter what. Unless we buy Masch orLas Diara we need to keep him because there is no one else that plays the DM position. Also we been leaking goals simply because of his absence in pre season. Aquilani is a luxury that we can afford to let go if the money is right.
