gary cahill is a good defender ,plus he is english and no nonsense and has got a bit of pace which in the premier league is vital , i think he is better than skrtel may be not better than agger but agger is always likely to get injured sadly , and that just leave carragher and big soto , carragher what he got left in the tank and soto is great but he is limited in his ability so a good young centre bAck like cahill would be a good signing instead of some unknown foreign player who has to get used to life in the premier league were cahill doesnt .

If we're looking for low price reinforcements with PL experience I'd go after Jonas Olsson of West Brom. That's a solid centre back for 'ya!

Olsson is a good shout mate, Seen him couple occasions and he has always impressed me. His age might be a barrier to us signing him.
