Hi guys am new to this site and I love it already this is my first post, I used to be on 606 but ever since it closed, have wondered thru the web to find a decent LFC forum and found this.....

I just wanted to comment/ ask about Arda Turan the guy from Galatasaray, this time last year the rumor mill was running wild linking him to us and obviously nothing happened, this time round I haven't seen any mention of him at all was wondering what the rest of us think of him, he seems like a very skilled and talented player with some decent international experience with Turkey as well. I think him and Suarez would be phenomenal upfront, sadly theres not even a hint that we might be interested in him, has he all of a sudden lost it? I hope he plays against us and shows Kenny what he can do

Welcome mate, you'll find that quite a few people on here love the idea of signing Turan. It's a strange one. I guess its the same as Honda the Japanese player who everyone wanted to sign yet still plays for some Russian team still and not many whispers of him moving!?

We are linked to 101 different players and since the emergence of a new transfer strategy (i.e buying british), Turan must have some out-of-this-world-earth- shattering stats to convince Comoli before we sign him.

i've said for years that i would love to get arda. however for some reason he hasn't left turkey yet. but the latest i've heard is that he's on his way to lyon.

@ Maddog strange indeed that clubs seem to "miss" such genuine talent.

he looks like a class player to me. maybe his injury record is putting clubs off. i think he would be a hit in the PL. he would probabaly cost abt 12-14m so worth a little punt. i would also like to see honda at liverpool. we would make his fee up within a few years just selling his shirts in asia

seriously this fella has been talked about for years now , all i can say if he was that good surely he would have been either at liverpool or in england by now .

Faz is right,I think he came back to the last pre season a stone overweight,some questions over his ego aswell.
