it wont prove your point if henderson is performing better. Exactly. That sort of thing may have happened under our last 3 managers, but i can't see it happening under Kenny. Kenny will play his starting 11 players on merit. Proof in the pudding: Cole not playing because Maxi was on fire despite Cole's astronomical wages. Although I guess Cole wasn't a Kenny signing. Exactly. Same with Jovanovic - who's supposedly on massive wages - he found it hard to even make the bench most of the time. Kenny's no politician, he's a proper manager.

Yeah just ignorance to think carrols going to be in the first 11 just because he cost 35 million that price tag is largely forgotten about after the traumatic farce of traitorres' departure, it's not like he cost nothing as 35 mill would have got us a superstar from the continent its clear... But Carrol and suarez swap for torres ? I would say yes good deal, and carrol is not the moaning sort if he doesnt get in the first 11 everyweek. As other posters above have said jovo hasnt had a look in and good riddance to the turd OF course 35 mill is too much but imagine in an fa cup tie when you have no options or even in europe I cant imagine central defenders relishing playing against him. I'm intrigued by the carrol purchase, Hope it works out cos selling him at 18 million 2 years later would be a bit disappointing

I think it's a bit different with Cole and Jovanovic because both never cost the club a transfer fee. I think when players cost a transfer fee and also get paid an obscene amount in wages then they have to play and Dalglish will know that too, Johnsons full package is probably about 35 million pounds. Glen Johnson was back in the team as soon as he was fit at the expense of Martin Kelly and Johnson never moved over to left back straight away. Another thing you have to take into consideration is you need to play a player on massive wages and tranfer fee so that you can put him in the window to sell him, if he is sitting on the bench or in the reserves he will lose value, this also plays a part in a managers selection, people think it's just about playing your best 11 and thats it but it's not, Club politics plays a major part in team selection.
