he has really impressed since been given a chance, he seems the only player since masch left to really put pressure on opponents as soon as we loose the ball and doesnt let them feel comfortable at all, gerrard doesn't seem to be as eager to do it than before, and much prefer jay to lucas, thoughts?

Jay did well but Lucas just keeps improving and Jay will get chances this season I'm sure but is not good enough to be given a starting spot right now in my opinion. He is still young and we have to make sure that we don't put too much pressure on him if we want him to be our enforcer in years to come.

I certainly wouldn't let him go anywhere, not even on loan, unless he wants to go. Can't we give Poulsen to Wolves?

I like him as well local lad never moaned took his chances pretty well , Put it this way I would not swap him for Cattermole , Jay is good at disrupting other teams so add yet another dimension for us in my humble opinion

Cattermole; Always injured or suspended and not needed in the slightest. Lucas is an able enforcer for now and Spearing is just improving, our youth is going to be great given time.

There's serious competition now in the middle of the park, and hopefully this will push all the lads to go that extra mile to get into the team. Kenny is a master motivator and man-manager, so he won't have any players feeling sorry for themselves if they're not in the team, and will instead encourage them to keep pushing. It's about time we had some stiff competition in our squad.
