Does anyone else get the feeling that we are still pretty active in the transfer market and a big marquee signing is coming soon? I don't know what it is but i just think we are going to sign a big European player in the next couple of weeks. Lets hope we clear out some dead wood to finance the deal!

I would be extremely happy with Baines being our marquee signing nevermind a big European player.

Agreed, Baines would be brilliant and would give us a very tidy looking left side for the next season.

We need a marquee to signal intent. It's become clear that we won't be getting Baines (as much as I want him) but I think that he would just be another signing, not a marquee like that of Mata, Aguero or the likes.

By the sound of what Kenny said we have to sell to finance further deals so I believe a marquee signing is a long shot

Out on a limb, before the window closes we will get a marquee attacking signing. Kenny probably has the money but is keeping it all under the radar.

Can't see us getting any other players in until we get rid of the dead wood. I'll be happy enough if we can get in a decent left back who will do the job for us. Baines however is not a realistic target.

I would rather get rid of those deadwoods first and solve the problematic positions before even thinking of a marquee signing. That can actually wait until we get back into the Champions League. Until then , we will have difficulties attracting top names , especially from abroad to Liverpool. I am not saying it is impossible but just being realistic. Marquee signing can actually wait until we solve the deadwoods and the problematic positions first...
