What analysis, statistics or evidence did you use to arrive at this conclusion Fazakerley red? Seems to me you are just plucking this negative view of two promising young players out of the air! Don't you think it's better to encourage and be supportive of our young players, rather than adopting this unfounded criticism, or would that be too generous for you?
because unless they are very very special players sadly they are unlikely to play as regulars in the team , sterling looks a good lad but unless the club is in trouble they wont play , the only reason flanagan and robinson were see last season is because the squad was dire and depleated if liverpool mhad been doing really well all season they wouldnt have been seen .
Not quite sure what you mean by that but surely if he's good enough he will play.
yes if there rooney or gerrard class yes they will come through but how players are that class , not many yes it would be nice but its unlikely .

Have to agree with you there Faz, homegrown player's or players nurtured through are very far and few between. Years ago if a top Club had say there left back injured they would delve into the reserve team and play the reserve team left back, nowadays if Clubs have injuries or problems they just go out and buy a full back like going to the supermarket and picking one of the shelves. It would be nice to see young players like young Flanno, Darby and Sterling make it but the odds are stacked against them, you only have to look at Dani Pacheco as rich is his potential he wont get near Liverpool's first team, when he should of progressed to the first team the Club just went out and spent big on Suarez and Carroll who are only about 2 years older than him which proves the point, Dani Pacheco will be sold within 2 years in my opinion.

Good point about Pacheco.. Hopefully he will get couple of starts(If he stays) to prove his worth.
Do you really think Darby good enough??

Shelvey,Robinson,Kelly have better chances than the others.

Never read such rubbish! No manager puts more than one or two at most of their rising young stars on at the same time, surely you know that, young players get phased in at appropriate times, this happens in all clubs with youth programs and has nothing to do with squad depletion. Kenny was taking the opportunity to give them playing time, that was all!

People keep referencing Dani Pacheco. Obviously forgetting that Dani Pacheco got a few chances at the start of last season under Hodgson and failed to impress whatsoever. He's been a big disappointment for me in a Reds senior shirt. Have seen a lot of him in the reserves, and am always glad to see him given a shot in the first team, but he's let himself pretty much every time. I would love to see him get another bite at the cherry, but i think he'll go out on loan next season.

Even Shelvey didn't look great for few matches. Still he gets more opportunity compare to pacheco and started playing better.
I don't see pacheco any worse than Jovanovic who played more minutes.

pacheco never got picked by benitez ,hodgson or dalglish and he is one of the stars and he doesnt play , and thats the point unless they are very very special IE robbie fowler , owen ,rooney or gerrard they might get a few games but they will not be regulars

We don't see the training sessions. Did you ever think that if he didn't get picked much by 3 managers, there was maybe a reason for it? I'm hoping he makes a success of himself at Liverpool because the lad has talent, but i think he could benefit from a full season away on loan. I think he revelled in his loan spell at Norwich for a few months. Would love to see him back in a year with experience under his belt.

Seriously if you want to protest then go out and do it. Whats that point in staying indoors?

Thats quite true protesting in your back bedroom rarely yields results. I know I have done it for years!

The future is looking very bright indeed. Imagine if (or when) the likes of Henderson, Spearing, Flanno, Robinson, Kelly, Wilson, Ayala and Carroll get to an experienced stage. They have shown huge skill and potential over one season, personally it excites me to see how good they are in 5.

My team in 5 years ( including a few young buyins):

Flanno--Kelly--Wilson--Robbo
Albrighton--Hendo--Spearing--Sterling
Morgan--Carroll

Bench: Suso, Coady, Silva, Ngoo, Wisdom, Ince, Shelvey, Insua and who else?

This is an idea, swap who you like, but if you go by potential, it looks really promising.

your on crack if you think spearing will ever be better than coady or shelvey.

i think if handled right we could have an amazing team in 5 years, i just hope we have the right people in charge, time will tell i suppose.
