Sergio Aguero is a target IMO, but nothing serious i think.

he would rather come LFC if we was willing match whatever citeh are going to pay him,if the rumours about pay cut i think we would have a good chance of getting him if we sell jova thats on 100 and sell ngog or cole or poulson they can cover his wages. we should offer him 160k

Why do we have to stick to a set formation? The players we are getting in should be able to adapt to whatever KD and the coaches want to play according to the chosen strategy to defeat the opposition. AC or DK up front with SA and LS on either side or AC with either LS or SA just behind? SD on right and LS on left with AC and SA upfront. This is where the rotation up front could work and they would be forever fresh. Plus we would never have the "who will lead the line if... ges crocked?"

Also with it being such a huge fee why not use Raul as a part of the trade?

Sure, we could play Carroll and Aguero together and arguably push Suarez to the right but would that be wise considering the vast numbers we have in midfield?

The only other thing I could think of was to play Aguero Carroll and Suarez as a front 3 but that leaves no room for Stuart Downing.

Thoughts?

The buyout clause only relates to Spanish clubs. As for him wanting to play for LFC I'd take that with a pinch of salt along with any player proclaiming undying love for a club (let me guess, it was misinterpreted in a tabloid several years ago when they were pretending we were interested in him 1st time around? same old story).
Finally, are we interested in him? There's as much chance of us being interested in him and getting him as there is with turan, hazard, mata etc - in other words, not a chance. He's foreign, so it's probably not even worth discussing.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and say there is NO F*CKING WAY we will sign him. If i'm proven wrong, then feel free to quote and laugh at me.

It's not gonna happen. IF if did happen, on one hand i'd be delighted, but on another hand i wouldn't. Obviously to sign someone of his quality would be unreal, but like a few people have already mentioned - where would be fit in?? After spending over £50m on 2 strikers just 7 months ago, i can't see the club splashing out on another top striker. I think it'd be completely unnecessary.

I think there are other areas of the team we could do with strengthening first, like LB & CB, or even another winger.

ooh and we could play a 433 with him with suarez - carroll - Aguero or with kuyt and downing as replacements when tired, but i cant see it happening cause we baught downing for 20mill, he is obviouslt not going to be bench 20mill player on bench

What I will never understand is why when they have Higuain, Madrid keep trying to buy starting strikers and benching him. He is without a doubt world class and would have him in a second but again, would we be able to fit him in? Would players like Aguero, Higuain, Carroll, Downing and Suarez want to work into a rotation strategy or instead play 90 minutes of every game. Players of this like (Downing excepted) are world beaters and they know that. We have to make sure that all players are happy and I know that Kenny will be able to figure that out.

Out of curiosity, Mata or Aguero, who would you rather in LFC right now looking at our current crop of players?

I'm sure in negotiations Downing would have been told he'd be in the starting line-up, though Henderson cost us a bit and I expect we'll see him on the bench more often than not. Exciting times ahead lads.

It will take huge wages in order to get him to Liverpool. The reason Liverpool wants to get rid of players like Milan Jovanovic , Joe Cole and even Christian Poulsen is due to the fact we want to reduce the amount of wages. What is the use of getting rid of all 3 players to reduce the wages just in order to get Sergio Aguero alone who earns about the same amount as these 3 combined. There are already players in his position and I personally think it's better to address our problematic positions first.

Instead , if the owners think that purchasing Aguero will make us stronger , then I would also welcome the idea. People may say where would he fit inside our squad but I believe King Kenny will have the idea of what he should do if Aguero really comes to Liverpool. As much as all the players wants to play in every games , they must also feel fatigue like what Torres did. So although it sounds impossible , there will be real excitement if it does come true.

In all honesty if Aguero was available and we were filling to shell out i think we should jump at the chance because we will always have quality to come off the bench and change the game and if one of our strikers is injured we still have 2 top quality strikers to start a game, this, combined with the rotation that will obviously happen especially when we are back in europe mean they will hall get plenty of game time.
