so how come we buy a player and he doesnt even get a thread? is he any good?

Liverpool today confirmed they have completed the signing of Alexander Doni from AS Roma.

The goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a contract with the Reds after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Doni, who has 10 caps for his country, made 179 appearances for Roma in six seasons in Italy during which time he lifted the Coppa Italia twice as well as the Supercoppa Italiana.

The 31-year-old custodian also helped Brazil to success in the 2007 Copa America.

Am not fussed to be honest. Am against this signing because all he is going to do to is sit on the bench earning god knows 90k anyone? Even the roma fans that I have talked to do not rate him and say he is way overated and he is not even their first keeper in the past 2 seasons. I'd love him to prove me wrong but I can't see him getting any games if Reina is fit. Goodluck for him nevertheless.

i read some where his on around 1m euros a year. if true its a good price but it seems a bit low

I find it hard to believe but if thats the case then maybe its a great deal.

its important to have some decent back up, reinas been quite lucky injiry wise, also the added fact of a bit more pressure cant hurt anyone

He is decent enough to be back up. A decent back up is immediately important as after Reina's double hernia opp he is cutting it close with regards to being fully fit for the start of the season.

I'd trust comolli and kenny's judgement over the player over any Roma fans opinion.
