Deserves his contract but as DBS said, he has a long way to go. Good luck mate.

He has a long way to go, yeah. But he hasn't let the side down once yet, and has done better than just "ok" in my book. I think he's been exceptional tbh

class player, best prospect we've had in years with his age could be better than jones, finnan in that position.lets not forget johnson has signed an extension to his contract which is positive
as well, thought he had a great 2nd half of season after a poor 1st under roy.

Good prospect alright won't disagree with that but the game he got booked/almost sent off towards the end of the season cant remember against who he was ran ragged and looked average at best all I'm saying is don't get carried away by the hype he is a long way from world class and that's the reality. Saying that he is a good prospect and I hope he can progress to be one of the best.

He deserves his new contract. Although he came into the first team towards the end of the season , he proved that he can do the job at the top level. Hopefully King Kenny and all the caching staff will nurture him to be a top class player. I would not want the situation in the Benitez era to repeat. There are players who can develop further but seems like the then manager would not give them the chance at staking their place in the Liverpool. Surely there are one or two from these players who can be developed further.
Darren Potter
Neil Mellor
David Raven
Zak Whitbread
John Welsh
Mark Smyth
Richie Partridge

Just hope that King Kenny will expose more youngsters as I think the current batch is much better than the ones that I mentioned above.

It's always exciting to see young lads coming through and being given a chance. I think the current crop (Flanagan, Kelly, Spearing - not so much Robinson YET) have already achieved more in the first team than any of those players. Mellor got a good few games, but was never given a proper run in the team like the lads i mentioned have got. I'm confident they'll all continue to improve, and excited to see how they do this season. The only one i'd worry about is Spearing. If we get a few injuries he may get into the team, but if our midfielders stay clear of injuries i can't see him getting much playing time, unfortunately.

Flanagan was thrown in at the deep end and coped perfectly. Did not look out of place against top sides, even on his debut. He has a long way to go because he's young and it's up for debate if he could keep that up for a whole season, but on that road what an amazing few steps he's already taking. I see no reason not to be tremendously excited that a product of our youth showed what he can do on a top class stage.

Short video, nothing special but put a smile on my face. I think I'm starting to forget just how good Kelly was.

nice video lad. i think that a lot of the last lot of youngsters wernt given enough of a chance the likes of guthrie etc however when given opportunities they didnt really stand out as much a ssome of these lads have.

Kelly really stood out for me out of the youngsters and I believe he has a great career ahead of him looks a classy player already. And Spearing has really excelled under Kenny too
