I know he's not top of all lists but does it worry anyone else that every player we are linked with is signing for someone else. Jones, Young, Clichy and now it looks like Dann too! Starting to get a little concerned about Comolli's negotiating skills.

We've been linked with pretty much everyone, in fairness, so it could almost be claimed that "there's another target gone!"

He's a good player to have at the back but I wouldn't say another target gone by reading soccernet or the dailymail.

We've been linked with pretty much everyone, in fairness, so it could almost be claimed that "there's another target gone!" everytime a player moves clubs. But yeah, he had been heavily linked, and i personally would still love to see him signed. He's not gone til he's gone though! And if we don't pull off the stops to sign him, then it's most likely because the club feel there's a more suitable player available.

Soccernet used to be tabloid rubbish but recently -- last 6 months it has been pretty spot on. This window it has been quite accurate!

I just feel Kenny will not sign any central defenders this window as he is trying to bring a suitable leftback. We have 5 cbs (Carra, Kelly, Agger, Skrtel, Kyriagokos), we also have Degan who was back from loan, Johnson, Flanaghan, Robinson, Aurelio, and the returning Insua to be a makeshift cb just incase we have a crisis. I would certainly settle for wingers for the time being in this window and maybe start integrating Kelly and a new CB maybe Ayala to forge a new partnership in the future.

I think the wing and the LB positions have to be the top priority. We've made our first move for Downing now, but all is still quiet in the left back position. I assume they're looking at other players and looking at Enrique if other deals don't come off.

Would like a CB signed too, but maybe not essential, unless we sell Soto that is.

I believe Degen is out of contract. Not that it is really important.

I would love to have a left back which is one of the position that need immediate reinforcement but would not want the club to pay over the odds for players who are considered as target for that position. We do still have Fabio Aurelio and Emiliano Insua who are genuine left back. Aurelio is the best if he can keep fit. If he is not then there is Glen Johnson , who excel when he switch flanks to the left last season. If Johnson do play on the left , there are Martin Kelly and John Flanagan who made a breakthrough last season. I think this season Martin Kelly should be given the Right Back position and he will excel there. For Glen Johnson , I believe he can fit at Left Back or even the Right Winger position. We all witness how Spurs converted Gareth Bale from Left Back to Left Winger and how he became so gooood in that new position due to his lack of defensive qualities. So why not do the same thing to Glen Johnson? And the best thing about that is, if he plays on the Right Wing position , he will be leaving his Right Back position to 2 of our upcoming star in Martin Kelly and John Flanagan...

Aurelio is injury-prone (and has proven almost impossible to keep fit, unfortunately) and i can't see Insua being at LFC come the end of the transfer window. He's a yet another relic of the past still on the books. I'd really rather not see Johnson on the left. He did well at the end of last season, and i'm sure he was happy to do it, with the crisis we had, but i'm sure even he would not be happy to start the season there. I wouldn't mind seeing Johnson get a chance at right midfield, always felt he'd do well there. I think we definitely need to sign a left back though. Either that or keep Konchesky.....
