If John Henry can make Boston Red Sox a force to be reckon with , I believe he can do the same in Liverpool. Just need a little more time. I believe he is not going to be the same as Hicks and Gillett who comes to Liverpool just for the sake of gaining profit. So John Henry. Do not misplace our trust.

I think end of the day, they all come for money Durgarry, and of course we shouldn't blame them for that because thats just business but heres hoping he won't stab us in the back like the last rats did. The thing is tho, the fans are just sick of waiting at the moment as many can tell you but to be honest, a trophy next season would do wonders and will ease that pain of waiting a bit even if its the little carling cup as it would be huge and it will signal the new era of Henry and Kenny.

The FA Cup would be nice, but i'd settle for the League Cup right now, definitely. Would love to see Kenny with a bit of silverware in his hands again.

One of either cups plus a top 4 finish would represent fantastic progress and and almost perfect (realistically speaking) season. I'd say that's what the aim will be.

That's true guys. A silverware , whether it is FA Cup or League Cup , would be great.Would love to see Steven Gerrard lifting either one of them in Wembley. That would be a success. But as Liverpool Football Club , we go into every season with the target of getting the Premier League title. That is the main target that King Kenny should be aiming for. Top 4 is the minimum requirement to be more frank. And since we do not have the midweek games in Europe , that makes it even more realistic for us to aim for the Premier League.

John Henry seems like a more down to earth man compared to Hicks & Gillett. He never makes promises that he are not sure that he can fulfil. That is what a responsible and sensible man is all about. And since he promise he will buy more youngster instead of veterans , I got this feeling that he is in discussion with King Kenny and Damien Comolli to get the best young talent that are avaiable out there.

One thing that I've been observing of late is that Lille are getting more players into their squad. Fingers crossed that Eden Hazard is on the way out thus making them getting players who can play on the wings like Dimitri Payet. And if it is true then should consider entering the bidding war. Eden Hazard would come into the category that John Henry is considering.

I watch a lot of baseball, and as a result I see and hear a lot about the Boston Red Sox; much to my chagrin. They know how to build a franchise. They hang onto their core players, are not afraid to let go of aging veterans, and make bold, sweeping, and monumentally expensive moves.

I realize that without the CL to offer money can only take you so far, but every indication I have witnessed in regards to the new ownership group is they know how to build equity in a club. If they do half the job with LFC that they have done with Boston then we have no worries.

Having said that, football as a sport is lot harder to judge at face value. A player could transfer to a new club and completely misconnect with teammates and team philosophy. In baseball, generally speaking, what you see is what you get. A player's performance is primarily individually based as opposed to the almost pure team concept of football. What was I talking about again?

Oh yeah, John Henry knows how to build a winner. I am just glad he left Dalglish in place instead of bringing over an MLB style pro personnel division.

I agree porklet football is not comparable to soccor, EPL managers who rely only on stats generally do well but win nothinng eg maclaren and graham turnip

Wenger uses a lot of stats, taught comoli what he knows apparently. He hasn't won anything in 6 years but he hasn't done badly.

I think this is a totally class touch talking 1 to 1 with the supporters. Lets just hope they keep supplying the money for us to grow on and off the pitch.

If they are gaining profits , we are gaining titles after titles and more and more accomodating towards each others ( John Henry , club and fans) why should he leave?
