Lol! Your point about them playing together, ceb - you could say that about Owen & Fowler - and look how well that worked!

Whoops! What i meant to say was:

"Lol! Your point about them playing together, ceb - you could say that about Fowler & that little money-grabbing piggy-backing bench-warming Fergie's-****-sucking little vermin - and look how well that worked!"

Crouch was a great factor to Liverpool FC. Although he looks clumsy at times but he is just unplayable at times when he is on form. But would not put him in the same level as Robbie Fowler and Fernando Torres though...

Care to elaborate? The press would often say that they couldn't play together but that was [oops] from what I saw.
They didn't get too many chances as a partnership due to injuries, Houllier's obvious disliking of Fowler, and his preference of his own signing, Heskey(!). but when they did play one of them nearly always scored.

They never worked properly together. Not as a top striking partnership should. They were both too good to just completely cancel each other out, so of course they both scored, but considering the talent the two of them had, they should have done a lot better playing together. They never really 'clicked' in my opinion. I've always got the impression that they didn't exactly see eye to eye, which probably isn't a million miles off.
