We have to keep him for one simple reason as an attacking midfielder in brazil and where he naturally played b4 he came to us he will be like a new signing assists will be like breathing to him he has pace he will become a kaka kind of player in thus he will be key to the sides strides up the table

Yeah we should keep Lucas, however I don't think its right to compare him to Kaka, that is just laughable.

i knew lucas had won himself a lot of fans last season but you must be his no.1 fan.

No on last seasons evidence kaka looks like he is a fellow chain smoker like our own Dot cotton "joey c"

another over the top post about an average player who played last season how he should of been playing in season 1.

Lucas, similarly to Kuyt, were changed by Rafa after they signed. We've seen how Kuyt has proved himself especially towards the end of the season by netting a fair amount of goals for us, this is all about giving him the freedom to play where he wants to play. Lucas clearly isn't a defensive midfielder and so keeping him there is pointless + on the rare occasions when Lucas has bombed forward, he's shown creative spark and isn't afraid to shoot.

i think we should keep him. the lad as improved and stuck out the critics. as for him being more attacking i wish it would happen because the thing that winds me up more than anything with him is when he gives stupid freekicks away in dangerous areas...
