It appears Steve Clarkes appointment is a success with the club so far.

But I was curious to know what made Kenny think he should hire him as he has no connection with the club.

Apart from them both being Scots, I couldn't find anything that brings them together.

Or is it simply because Steve Clarkes reputation is so strong in the field?

i think kenny wanted him because steve clarke is a brilliant coach. i was really happy when we got clarke in because i thought kenny would get someone like ian rush. i wish we had thommo instead of sammy lee

It's quite simple he was brought in by KD cos he's a top coach and wants to work in a top club with top players and top management, a club on the move. We made a great choice and so did he. Perfect if you ask me.

he's a top coach. seemed to have a big influence at chelsea during the mourinho era.

If it was Kenny's decision to bring in Clarke, that is a good sign since many managers have to put up with what they inherit or is imposed on them. From what we've seen so far its a great partnership! Long may it last.

Sammy Lee is not a good manager but he's a pretty good coach

Thompson is now a pundit and i don't see him hgaving the inclination nor being asked to get back into management
