13m for an unproven striker is scary. What's the world coming to? Remember Neil Mellor had bags of potential and scored everywhere left right center? I'm always of the opinion that if you pay good money, you want to have some kind of assurance that a player will work out... at least to a decent level.

i think with the player wanting the move to us and the fact that we will likely put a bid in for him of around 10 million and ipswich have said they will think about the player, his wishes and whats best for him a deal is still likely, i hope.

Just place a 10m bid and see how it goes from there. I am pretty much sure between us and Sunderland, he will choose us but monetary terms the club wll be more than willing to sell him to Sunderland. He is unproven anyway so we have got nothing to loose. We just need to get back to top 4 and stay that way, then we will be able to attract a much better promising youngsters from abroad. Players like Neymar for example which is far way superior than Wickham.
