is this fella really worth al this hype? if he doesnt want to come here then so be it, we won't know anything until end of week for deffo anyway. There is so much speculation doing the rounds its driving me crackers. I dont know how Dunk copes with it all.

I have this strong feeling about Mata coming to Anfield. Hopefully we are serious about bringing him here. A bright future ahead if he does come. Add Thiago Alcantara as well and we are well on the way to glory days. Maybe in 1-2 years.

If Arsenal do follow up their bid and we end up with Stewart Downing I will have lost all faith in our transfer system.

Mata is younger and is actually talented. It's ridiculous. Stewart downing is NOT good enough for liverpool.

We will no doubt bid for Mata and if Arsenal have good luck to them but let's look at the pro's and cons of each club.

Arsenal.

Fans growing frustrated with Wenger, their biggest players wnat to leave (Nasri,Arshavin) thier biggest is bound to leave (Fabregas. Arsenal are at a cross roads at the moment and need a real rebuilding job doing.
The two biggest majority owners corssing swords.
But they are in the CL.
They play the football that can attract Mata


Liverpool

Fans and squad over happy with Kenny being manager. Owners who have given finacial stability at the club and are willing to spend.
Confidence is growing through the squad and with quality players Like Gerrard, Suarez, Kuyt to play alongside with.
A real project with a good future is being put in place now.
Pepe (every spanish player loves Pepe).
Will be playing the pass and move football which suits mata's palying style.
Only downer no european football.

As you can see the facts are there, Liverpool is a more attractive choice.
