Martinez is an engine deep lying midfielder. Strong, big, very calm on the ball. Still would prefer Matuidi for defensive range personally.

I'm not saying mata is crap. he's a very talented young player who i'd love us to sign, but people are now starting to get worried about city sniffing around him. i was just saying he isn't the be all and end all, because if he was given the facts, he's spanish, he's young, he's very getable, barca and real would be all over him, barca and real not wanting him doesn't make me question his talent or if we should sign him, i was just making the point that there are other wingers out there, if we don't sign him.
