hello i feel i should post something as i have just read all the threads and i think it was me that posted the questionable comment, and that growler was just laughing at it although he did say something vile and disgusting about tarmackers ..Anyaway lets face it a lot of humour depends on the context, Have you heard how many jews in london tell jewish jokes and laugh at jewish jokes told by non jews? Everything depends on context if it is meant in a hateful manner then it has to be condemend . PS I have irish nationality so i feel like i can make up my own jokes about ireland, even though noone mentioned my post! Theres something a bit different in my view to someone telling a semantic joke (not semitic joke - semantic joke ) and someone calling a black guy by the 'n' word for example.. I am not suggesting that it is alright to use the 'n' word in justifying it by stating that black people themselves are known to call each other the 'n' word, because i think this is usually done by stupdid people, i dont hear irish people calling each other paddy (unless they are called 'patrick' etc) but i do hear irish people (not all admittedly) laugh at irish jokes.
