No doubt Kenny is the man..BUT...with the recent purchase of what can only be described as unheard of and mediocre players for vast sums ...it is strikingly similar to the era before kenny resigned when he bought a host of players like speedie carter etc who were total substandard yet proclaimed as excellence..carter being put on as a sub only to be brought off and disapear altogether.
Unless at least two quality players are bought who are already reknowned names then all this potential stuff is awaste of time and money.

I don't think you can compare Carroll, Suarez and Henderson with Carter!

you might have apoint "two" but you cant tell until they play. if you can think back to them days, carter was an up and coming player who showed all the signs of going on to be a good player. as we all know it didnt workout . i dont expect every player we buy to be a world beater. there is'nt a manager alive who as a 100% sucsess rate at transfers. give the guys a chance!

No not realy murphy.Its not about comparing money spent to the hicks days...the fact is that the money being spent is spent wisely an throwing 20m sums at gambles like henderson..who i predict will be a massive flop if he is used as a permanent starter and not a bit part player..the current crop for all their flaws are better players than he will ever be!!
As for Carrol..35m for a player who cost 5million the year before and one unproven injury plagued season in premiership...he is trouble.Dalglish said he didnt play him because he had a bruise.It is widley known that the real reason was carrol got dropped because he was out on the town in liverpool..bad enough..and got into a fight with KEVIN NOLAN.Hence he was dropped.This is widely known in liverpool.
If adam arives from blackpool that will be yet another waste of 10m.He is useless.not good enough for lfc.Had hodgson been spending this amount on dross..as he did..then there would of been uproar,rightly so.
