Good to see news that Alonso will be fine and is back in training. Lets hope he is back playing as soon as possible.

That's a huge boost , i was afraid of losing him , he gives us incredible balance and possession through the midfield,i really love this guy

He always holds the midfield well and without him we seem unable to play through the midfield properly and go for the long balls instead.

he is a world class midfielder - its about time stevie g took the time to sit back and watch him and see that its not all about bursting into the box or playing the killer ball - sometimes its just a case of keeping possession

i am so glad xabi is back soon - it showed against preston how much better we play when he is there controlling the centre of the park

Thats great news, he was our top performer this season and it would have been a huge blow to lose him for a long time...

Yes lets hope he is fit for Stoke :-)

Don't think he'll be able to make it against Stoke, but hope he'll be ready against the double header against the bluenose and against Real Madrid...

He won't be fit enough for the Stoke game and even if he was I think Rafa would leave him out for precaution.
