fair point i still dont think carrol is worth even 18million at moment never mind 35 million, while i don't think the sun shines out of kenny's behind i will say that what he did at blackburn was pretty amazing, ok he had money that noone else had at the time but he built a team and individually those players werent that amazing i think he needs time and i know id trust him with money more than that plank bodgson

Henderson is obviously not worth 20 million I don't think that's up for debate.

Overpaying is an issue that worries me, but what worries me is the profile of player we seem to be overpaying for. English/British, the fact is there is much better for cheaper abroad. If we miss out on that talent it doesn't matter how many talk about a 5 year plan we will be no where. I know we can't sign foreigners yet but positions like the wing seem to be going to players like downing. With players like him and henderson in the first time we will finish no higher than 6th.
