Am I the only one who's worried about us paying inflated prices for players.

All of a sudden we have proper owners who are ambitious and we start paying over the odds for 'hot prospects'.

35m for carroll.
20m for Henderson. (ok even at 13m after taking away 7m for Ngog is expensive to me!)

That's 55m paid for just potential!

Give Rafa 30m net spend a season and he will bring in world class proven players. (He brought in torres for 20m, alonso for 10m, masch for 18m, kuyt for 9m... I can go on. He did have his flop buys but generally he brought in world class players that we have sold for huge profits).

Can we say the same for comolli and to a certain extent king kenny?

At the moment, I really have my doubts and I think we're being screwed left right center in the transfer market. Everyone of my mates supporting other clubs think that way too. There's no way carroll was worth 35m and definitely not 20m for Henderson.

The more I think about it the more worried I get.

We cant win. Complain when we dont spend money then complain when we do.

if we didnt spend money you moan but when we do you moan just calm down and relax and enjoy us getting investment the british player will most probs stay at liverpool for the rest of their career its like 2-3 mill a year for the rest of their career or we will sell on for more when their around 27

For what it's worth i couldn't agree more but liverpool supporters have always been known for their blind faith

We had it under Hopullier and Benitez with every fan under the sun telling us these would lead the Reds to the promised land

i remember being worried in the 2009 summer when we let Arbeloa go for next to nothing, paid £18m for Johnson, lost Alonso, and didn't get any of the players we had seriously targeted -

Back then when i posted under the Junior Galtieri alias and I was abused from pillar to post with people telling me I didn't have a clue, I was a Man utd fan in disguise, that Rafa would bring in Barry to replace Alonso, and that Mascherano was fully comitted to the club

Unfortunately my fears turned out to be a reality but by that time I had canmcelled my subscription due to too much bulls*t being posted by people who obviously knww so little about football

And i'm seeing it again...

is there any history i dont know of? his only been a member a few months. cant say av taken much notice of his posts

people should remember where we were a year ago....seriously, i can't understand all the people complaining about the high prices.
