dunks just put news out that N'zogbia may snub us to go back to newcastle so now this argument seems all for nothing lol

Bit of a pointless question given that neither want to come to us
Young I can undersatand, but not N'Zogbia who wants to go back to Newcastle
Having just shelled out "20m for the vastly overrated Jordan Hemderson I get the feeling this could ne a pretty awfuol summer
We don't need more central midfielders who might come good - we need wide players but everyone we seem to be linked wiyth seem to see miving to Liverpool as a backwards step

well am hopeful mata will sign for us. i can really see that transfer happening. am pretty sure we will buy at least one winger this summer

Nzogbia isn't a good fit for Lfc anyway. He's a little too selfish, and holds onto the ball for too long, far to often.
He has a lot of great qualities, good on the ball, can cross, but there are more team orientated players out the that IMO would be better suited to us.
Personally I like downing, great team player, plus he has football intelligence. He always has his head up looking for his team, plus he can beat a player too.

He has a lot of great qualities, good on the ball, can cross, but there are more team orientated players out the that IMO would be better suited to us.

Obviously Mata would be a great coup but I don't think we currently have the 'clout' - either financially or in footballing sense - to pull that one off Which means that goven Young and N'Zogbia don't want to come and Hazard is out of our league and Lennon staying at Tottenham, Downing probably is Comoli's last hope of signing a wide player before the window shuts He's cetainly got better at Villa but I would still feel a little underwhelmed if he was the only wide player we added to the squad

There a quite a few decent wingers out there that might be very interested in joining us. From teams that haven't been doing so well. Andres Guardado from Deportivo is a great left sider, and his team just got the drop. Elia is a nice player, and has known to be open for a move. Marko Marin is another good player that I'm sure, if the right amount was offered, would be available. Arda Turan is quality, and has stated that he would like o play for us one day. There are plenty of options.

Big teams are interested in young not n'zogbia, doesn't that tell you something? Big teams weren't all that interested in John Barnes either. Doesn't mean he didn't have the potential to be exactly what the club needed. Having said that it seems we will be signing neither Young nor N'Zogbia, so this debate is moot.
