Actually i am fine as I would prefer someone who is a play maker to facilitate as well as finish. I'd imagine he took a backseat to Villa and Silva back when. Have always believed class like this tend to make those around them better and thats exactly the quality we need. Bonus being he can play across the front.

Papers linking us with Henderson and Phil Jones. I'm happy enough with this as long as we also get in an experienced top class winger in the Mata,Sanchez,Marin mould. As i think we have enough old heads in the team (Carra,Pepe,Stevie,Kuyt) i think what we need now is young hungry players desperate to prove themselves.

When down against teams under Roy Hodgson we looked so slow and lacking in ideas i think young quick technical players are just the ticket. However, we also need a winger who can strike fear in the opposition as well as someone developing as a player. Someone who will take some of the attention off Suarez and Carroll in the opposing defence. I personally think Mata on form will require 2/3 defenders to stop him at time. Heres hoping he comes and settles quickly.

contributing 20 goals in 33 games is pretty good but i still think a player of his quality should be getting into double figures for goals

he a winder scoreing assiting 13 goals and scoring 8 is pretty good going for a winger . Also i think he'll scro around 10 -15 per season i seen him play and likes late runs (just like torres) i see him scoring quite a few with those + carroll score from his corosses so his assit may go up to ;-)

i don't really consider mata a winger he's more of an attacking wide man i know im splitting hairs here but he isn't like navas or downing. so i would like him to score more goals if we do sign him

You're right House, he doesn't play as a traditional winger, many of his assists don't come from crosses. He would compliment suarez more than carroll. If we get him we need an out and out winger on the opposite flank for carroll.

bale an out an out winger but if we sign mata on lkeft we need right sided one we aint really been liked with alot of right sided wingers if any.
