Some news on McCarthy - My brother in law is mates with him as they played together at Hamilton. According to him Everton and Liverpool are both in talks with Wigan over the fee and until they agree, its nothing to do with the player.

Also the player would obviously jump at the chance but is worried about were he would fit into the team as he has been playing at CM for Wigan. He turned down the chance of signing for Liverpool or United 2 years ago and would make the same decision again as he's not willing to rot on the bench.

What do you think? Don't see why he would sign to be 4th choice, would he be effective on the right wing (where he started his career)

really don't like this rumour/link. i have a feeling it means kenny isn't a fan of shelvey and i like shelvey was hoping he'd make it at lfc

Shelvey has come on in nearly every game Kenny has been in charge of when he's not been injured so God knows where you got this conclusion from?!

i thought he liked shelvey. kenny always mentioned in his press conferences when he was asked about injured players. but these links with mccarthy and henderson, they are both young midfielders very similar to shelvey

Out of those targets would love to see us sign Hazard and Adam, can't see us signing Young, think he looks destined to go to United and Coentrao to Madrid not too bad considering he can't defend that well anyway.

Personally, Mata above and beyond would be my main target.Very tricky, incredibly quick feet, and pace, a great foil opposite Suarez as he attacks from all angles as well.
